Stained Glass for Mosaic Tile, AMERICAN MADE

Stained Glass in 6 inch square sheets for use in mosaic artwork. Cut your own glass mosaic tiles from AMERICAN MADE material! Our stained glass was proudly made by Kokomo and Wissmach in the US and is much more consistent than Asian glass.  The sheet we carry were selected for color density and opacity. The thickness is nominally 1/8 inch but varies considerably, typically around +/-1/32 inch.

CAUTION: Stained glass is usually sharper than regular mosaic tile, so added care must be used in cutting and handling. Also, extra care must be used in grouting to ensure that sharp edges are not left exposed. Avoid using in floors. At the studio, we wear gloves when grouting, and we usually cut up sheets into tiles and then swirl the tiles around in a plastic bucket with a little water to slightly dull any razor edges. SOME COLORS MAY VARY. Some color types are described as "curious," meaning they are likely to have unusual variations or differences between pieces. An example would be the Dark Green-Amber-White. However, most of our colors are very consistent. Email us before ordering if variation is a concern.
