Mosaic glass cutter is our recommended hand tool for cutting glass mosaic tile with minimal crushing and splintering. The tool easily cuts vitreous glass and C3 into quarters, halves and triangles. Good for cutting up chips of stained glass too. Don't use regular tile nippers on glass because they crush it.  For most artists, the mosaic glass cutters tend to pay for themselves in what they save in wasted tile.  Always wear safety glasses with side shields when using the cutters. For advice on how to cut, glue and grout mosaic tiles, please see our Mosaic FAQ page or our page of Mosaic instructions.  Not recommended for ceramic or porcelain tile.
