Garnet is a variety of reds which may be either opaque or semi-translucent. Some pieces appear swirled while others are solid. Large Tumbled Glass comes in irregular chunky shapes. Most pieces are greater than 1" in size. They have been tumbled which gives them a matte appearance. Most edges and faces are smooth, but as with any mosaic glass, care should be taken when handling this material in case of sharp edges. The unusual shapes combined with their large size makes this glass suitable for use in mixed-media projects, mosaic sculptures, and mosaic stepping stones.
