Stained Glass in approximately 6-inch square sheets for use in mosaic art. AMERICAN MADE! Our stained glass is premium quality with richer colors and much less variation than typically found in Asian glass. High pigment density. Opaque on opaque surfaces. Stained glass can be cut into tile quickly and easily with a Mosaic Glass Cutter, but you can also use the Pistol-Grip cutter and Running Pliers to cut long straight strips and curved shapes.
CAUTION: Stained glass is usually sharper than regular mosaic tile, so care must be used in cutting and handling. Also, extra care must be used in grouting to ensure that sharp edges are not left exposed. At the studio, we sometimes cut up sheets into tiles and then swirl the tiles around in a plastic bucket with a little water to slightly dull any razor edges, but the Rubbing Stones and Marble Files we sell are also useful for this.
